Lentil soup recipe - sourdough bread | Tasty and simple!

The best thing about the fall is that you can eat hot soup again. A warm lentil soup with red lentils as a main component. With a nutty taste, good texture they can be used Multi. They are nutritious and satiating and can contribute to weight loss and preservation due to the high content and protein content. They contain a good dose of slowly degradable carbohydrates and proteins. Adding only one portion of lentils per day to your diet can reduce the LDL cholesterol levels by 5%. Lentils are also a good meat substitute due to their texture and the high protein content. Lentils contain countless vitamins and minerals and such as iron and folic acid. Did you know that sourdough bread contains less gluten and is therefore suitable if you can't stand this so well?

What do you need? (2 persons)

  • 200g red (split) lentils
  • 2 onions, chopped
  • 2 large clove cloves, finely chopped
  • 2 tsp cumin seeds
  • 2 big carrot, in cubes
  • 2 large tomatoes, in cubes
  • 1 tbsp tomato puree
  • 1 lemon
  • Large hand coriander leaf, finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper
  • 2 large slices of sourdough bread

How are you?

  1. Place a pan with 1.5 liters of boiling water and crumble 1.5 block of vegetables broth here.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the onion chips and cumin seeds and fry while stirring until the onions become glassy. Then add the garlic, carrot, tomato, tomato puree and fry for another 3 minutes while stirring.
  3. Add the red lentils and the stock. Make sure the whole is under water. Let 15 simmer on low heat. Will it be too fat? Then add some water to the desired thickness.
  4. The lentils are now pieces and you don't have to puree anymore, unless you like a smooth soup. Stir well and season with salt and freshly ground pepper.
  5. Serve the soup in large bowls, garnish with coriander and freshly squeezed lemon juice. Add the bread.
