Hey hello, we are Matthias Huitema and Peter van Dartel. Together we are the owners of AthleteSportsWorld. We love swimming, cycling, running and triathlon. We use our passion for endurance sports daily to use our store to provide other athletes with the best advice and products.
AthleteSportsWorld was founded in 2010 by Matthias Huitema. In the past he participated in numerous competitions and events. At first Matthias only sold sports nutrition to endurance athletes and triathletes. Steadily other products were added and eventually he opened his first physical store in Amsterdam.
From that store, ASW has grown. And considerably, too. More and more endurance athletes stopped by and became loyal customers. With the growing demand for good quality products, the range of products also grew further and further, so that ASW became the Dutch endurance sports specialist. And not only for Dutch endurance athletes, because the web store also grew, so that now orders are shipped all over the world.
One of those loyal customers was Peter. He is also an enthusiastic endurance athlete and participates in triathlons on a national level. After a career at various start-ups and large companies, he decided it was time to turn his passion into his job as well.
Since 2021, the ASW management team consists of Matthias and Peter. And together with our enthusiastic team members we are AthleteSportsWorld

Of course we will only supply you with products that we use ourselves or of which we are sure that they are good enough to sell to you. Therefore, we only work with the best suppliers. And that's great if you need to make use of a warranty.
In all our collaborations, i.e. with you as a customer, with our suppliers, with our colleagues and with everyone else involved, we work on the basis of mutual trust. That is our basis, our core. And we feel good about that.
The ultimate goal is that athletes can get the best out of their performance with the equipment that suits them best.
