Are you starting soon at one of our partner triathlon or swimming events? If you (still) don't have your own wetsuit, renting a wetsuit at AthleteSportsWorld is an option. On this page, you can read everything about how wetsuit rental works. You can also reserve a wetsuit immediately.
When do you need a wetsuit?
You wear a wetsuit for two reasons: water temperature and buoyancy. Swimming in open water can be quite cold. At water temperatures below 16 degrees Celsius, a wetsuit is often mandatory. At water temperatures above 24.5 degrees Celsius, wearing a wetsuit is not allowed. Generally, wearing a wetsuit in spring and autumn is recommended because you can get quite cold while swimming. Additionally, a wetsuit provides the advantage of easier buoyancy. This way, you swim your race faster than ever.
High-quality wetsuits
At ASW, we only rent special swim wetsuits of high quality from reputable brands such as Zone3 and Huub. This ensures that you are well prepared with an ASW wetsuit for a triathlon or swim event.
Rent a swim wetsuit for your race or event at ASW
Do you have a triathlon, swim race, or swim event scheduled? Then don't wait too long to reserve your wetsuit.
You order your wetsuit as follows:
Select the day you want to pick up the wetsuit
Describe your weight, height, and gender in the text field
Add the wetsuit to your shopping cart
Follow the steps to place your order
You will receive an order confirmation by email
We ensure that you can pick up your wetsuit during the Expo of Challenge Amsterdam-Almere on Thursday or Friday.
You can return the wetsuit after your race on Saturday!
Rental costs
Renting a wetsuit costs €50 for the entire event.
Use of the wetsuit and deposit
If you rent an almost new wetsuit from ASW, we assume you handle it with care. When renting, we charge a deposit of €100 per wetsuit. If the wetsuit is returned clean and undamaged, you will receive the deposit back immediately.
Our wetsuits are only suitable for swimming and not for diving, surfing, SUP, snorkeling, etc. Using them for activities other than swimming will certainly cause damage due to the material properties of our wetsuits.
Returning the wetsuit
After you have used the wetsuit and the rental period ends, we expect you to return the wetsuit promptly so we can rent it to another swimmer.
If any damage has occurred to the wetsuit, please inform us as soon as possible.
Rental price as credit toward purchasing a new wetsuit
If you enjoyed swimming in a wetsuit, we are happy to assist you in purchasing a new one. Within 6 months after renting a wetsuit, you will receive the rental price (excluding any shipping costs) as a discount on the purchase price of your new wetsuit. Please contact us before purchasing one, and we will arrange the discount for you.
