If you do not (yet) have your own wetsuit, then renting a wetsuit is at athletesportsworld a possibility. On this page you can read everything about how renting a wetsuit works. You can also reserve a wetsuit right away.

When do you need a wetsuit?

You wear a wetsuit for two reasons: water temperature and buoyancy. Swimming in open water can be quite cold. With a water temperature below 16 degrees, therefore, a wetsuit is often mandatory. With a water temperature above 24.5 degrees you are not allowed to wear a wetsuit. In general, wearing a wetsuit in the spring and autumn is recommended, because you can cool off considerably while swimming. Moreover, a wetsuit also offers you the advantage that you will float more easily. This way you swim your competition faster than ever.

At ASW we only rent special swimming luits of high quality and renowned brands such as Zone3. This ensures that with a wetsuit from ASW you are well prepared for a triathlon or swimming trip.

Rent a swimming wetsuit for your competition or trip at ASW

Do you have a triathlon, swimming competition or swimming trip in your agenda? Then don't wait too long to book your wetsuit.

You order your wetsuit in this way:

• Select the day you want to pick up your wetsuit or receive at home
• Select the day on which you return the wetsuit
• Describe your weight, height, gender and event in which you participate in the text field
• Add the wetsuit to your shopping cart
  
• Follow the steps to place your order
• You will receive an order confirmation by e-mail

Pick up, send and pick up at an event

You can pick up your rented wetsuit in our store in Amsterdam. We can also send the wetsuit to you, where the shipping costs to and from ASW will be for your account.

Are you participating in a competition where ASW has a stand? Then you can come and pick up your wetsuit there on the day of the competition. You will receive a confirmation that your wetsuit can be picked up at the event.

Costs for renting

Renting a wetsuit costs € 10 per day with a minimum of 4 days of rent. This rental period offers you the possibility to rent a weekend.The period starts on the day you pick up your wetsuit and end on the day your wetsuit is returned.

This way you can also try out a wetsuit once for your competition.

The use of the wetsuit and the deposit

If you rent a new wetsuit at ASW, we assume that you handle it with care. When renting, we calculate a deposit of € 100 per wetsuit. If the wetsuit is returned clean and undamaged, you will be repaid immediately.

Return the wetsuit

After you have used the wetsuit and the rental period ends, we assume that you will return the wetsuit to us without delay, so that we can rent it out to another swimmer.

You return the wetsuit in this way:

• Clean the wetsuit after swimming by rinsing it with cold tap water
• Has there been damage to the wetsuit? Let us know by e-mail as soon as possible (before returning) with picture
• Pack the wetsuit in the original packaging or box.
• Bring it back to the store or send the package via a package point in your area.

Rental price as credit for the purchase of a new wetsuit

Have you liked swimming in a wetsuit? Then we are happy to help you with the purchase of a new wetsuit. Within 6 months after renting a wetsuit you will receive the rental price (excluding any shipping costs) from us as a discount on the purchase price of your new wetsuit. Before you want to purchase one, please contact us and we will arrange the discount for you.
