The Björn Borg Running Tights are comfortable high-performance leggings made from recycled polyester and elastane for extra stretch. This style has long legs and a drawstring on the inside of the waistband, so the leggings always fit snugly. The style features pockets on the upper leg for your cell phone or valuables and a zippered back pocket for your keys. And thanks to vertical reflective stripes on the front and back, you'll always be highly visible. A logo print on the back of the leg rounds out this item distinctively.
Many of the materials usedBjorn Borg used in their products are recycled, such as recycled polyester and recycled polyamide. Recycled polyamide is made from plastic from industrial waste and from plastic from the oceans, such as fishing nets and plastic mats.
Recycled polyester is made primarily from plastic bottles and industrial waste. It uses less water and less energy in production. It also generates up to 30% less CO2 emissions compared to virgin polyester.
All recycled yarns come from GRS-certified suppliers (GRS - Global Recycle Standard). This is an independent, third-party certification of recycled content that focuses on traceability, social and environmental practices and chemical restrictions. The validity of the certification is checked with each new collection.
Bjorn Borg always talks about more sustainable products. But what does this really mean? At Borg, they consider a product sustainable if it is made from at least 70% more sustainable materials (explained here) or if it supports the Better Cotton Initiative. Better Cotton is an initiative that helps cotton communities survive and grow while protecting and restoring the environment.
By this definition, their entire range of clothing is a more sustainable choice. Their goal is for 100% of the materials used for our clothing to be produced more sustainably.
