NK Run Bike Run Nisserwaard
Triathlon Vereniging Spijkenisse (TVS'90) is the organizer of the NK Run Bike Run . TVS'90 has been awarded the NK Run Bike Run Quarter by virtue of its BID with the Dutch Triathlon Association (NTB). After a successful event, the NK Quarter Overall and Masters will also be organized by TVS'90 in 2017. The distances are NK Quarter Overall and Masters 10km running. 40 kilometers of cycling and 5 kilometers of running again.
The Dutch Juniors Championships cover half the distance, whatever distance is open to recreational participants. The Dutch Youth Championship is about the distances 2.5-10-1.25. For students aged 12 to 15, the title 'Nissewaards Kampioen' can also be obtained over this distance, thus providing an easily accessible NK within an NK.
The start, points and finish take place on the PRC Delta cycling track, which is also home to TVS'90. The cycling route goes (for NK Quarter) over two rounds of 20 km through Nissewaard, the walking route involves two rounds of 5 km through the park of Spijkenisse.
The courses are public-friendly; the bicycle turning point can be easily reached on foot from TVS'90 and with the walking part a round of 400 meters is made on the cycling track itself.
TVS'90 has a taste for organizing. In 2015, a Scholentriathlon was started in which 640 high school students from Hoogvliet and Spijkenisse participated and which was continued in 2016.
In addition, TVS'90 is a Youth Training Association at the NTB and provides training for Regional Talents. The NK is working closely with the people from the Police Triathlon Spijkenisse (a household name in triathlon for over 30 years) and with Team Unltd, a regional triathlon talent team.
