Stryd with Wind Detection. Take away doubt if you are training well, monitor your progress. The Stryd 3.0 power meter actually gives you on your wrist insight into the walking efficiency capabilities you previously had to go to the lab for.
Stryd is a small portable power meter that you can clip onto your shoe. It measures more than twelve values, such as performance, technique, muscle strength and condition, as well as the external running environment, and aggregates these values into 1 given, power.
The new Stryd has an opening on the front - Stryd calls it a wind port - where a highly sensitive measuring device is located. Similar to a pitot tube known from hydrodynamics and aerodynamics, it measures wind speed. If you know the wind speed, you can calculate the air resistance.
Stryd does not use GPS to measure your distance, but accelerometers. This turns out to be most reliable on short and long distances and in places with high buildings. Link your Stryd to your sports watch or smartphone and see where you've been walking.
