As engineer I believe in facts: motivation, training and healthy lifestyle end up in success.
I started to participate in Triathlon 13 years ago, in tricross actually, so mountain bike was my starting point. You have an older brother, he starts to do triathlon and you follow him… That’s exactly what I did. At the beginning it was a one or two races a year thing… 5 years back now it became 10-15 races and more than a hobby.
I am Spanish, triathlon is a big thing there(maybe because the weather helps) but since 3 years ago I am living in The Netherlands!
Guess what? Here people cycle very fast and I am coming from drafting triathlons….. so in these 3 years I started to focus on my cycling and I am making some good improvements! Logical next step was Half Distance… 2018 was my debut in Ironman 70.3 Mallorca(more than 3500 athletes!!), my result : 4h48, not that bad even though I was 4th overall after T1!
What is left for me in 2019?? I will compete in short distance races, the Dutch team competition, Half Distance in Sevilla(my home town) and 70.3 Ironman somewhere…
But….. for 2019 I have a dream, it is called 70.3 Ironman World Championship and I will try my best to be there!
Anyone is joining me?
