Cape Cape Doorn
The name says it already: we are going to make cycling and having fun. And use us for Make-a-Wish Netherlands. We do that Sunday, June 21, 2020 On the beautiful Utrechtse Heuvelrug. In the area of Doorn, where Conference Center Kaap Doorn will serve as a start-up-finish and festival location.
The Lean Consultancy Group pays all organizational costs, so the full registration fee (€ 35) and all the retrieved sponsor is going to the Make-A-Wish Foundation. The previous four editions of our event in Berg and Dal (Oudeholle40) yielded an amount of € 65,000.
At the festival site we put a large screen with the results, last lap times, total kilometers and total proceeds. You can let you sponsor per kilometer. How many are your kilometers worth?
We start at 9:00 am on the parking lot of Cape Doorn conference center (Postweg 9, Doorn) and cycle a round of 18 km with the climb of the Ruiterberg and then the climb on the Wykerweg. As a variety we pass the national Langbroekerdijk and the vowels of the winding Sandenburgerlaan back to Cape Doorn.
Or we run hard in rounds of 1.8 kilometers. The route is partly paved, partly unpaved and over a large part of the trail we meet the cyclists. We use the same day regulation and equipment for time registration.
Perhaps unnecessarily: cyclists wear a helmet and we all follow the applicable traffic rules! For a sanitary stop we use the facilities at Cape Doorn. Waste we take to the RAVITAIL SPOST.
