Erik Lentfert (NLD)
Erik comes from job athletics, where he ran regional top in his teenage years. At the age of 18 he stopped and going to go volleyball.
In this beautiful sport he experienced height and lows, until it became less serious and he got a lot and went towards 100 kilos.
Stopping smoking and walking quietly and cycling brought him back to a healthy weight in 2008. A registration for the Twente Triathlon Tour in that year did the penny fall: what a beautiful sport!
Afterwards, beautiful challenges to improve themselves, with even NK medals in his Age Group and now Four completed Ironman Triathlons (Lanzarote, Mallorca and 2x Almere) and twenty half triathlons. The challenge is now sitting in the balance to continue to enjoy this beautiful sport in combination with a busy (but beautiful, challenging) job and a fine family life with three young children.
In 2019, the collaboration was hereby searched by old top rattlette Frank Heldoorn to see if you can still take steps within a limited number of training hours (maximum 10 per week). This resulted in December 2019 in a beautiful PR of 4U29'51 "at De Ironman 70.3 Bahrain. For 2020, the focus will again go back to the long distance, whereby the World Championship Long Distance is circled in Almere with red. With the support of Athletesportsworld I hope to make a beautiful and successful season!
